Welcome to the CharityMaker LLC website. Understanding the privacy policies of our web site and business practices is vital to a safe, secure and enjoyable experience within our community of charities and other profile pages. We want users and members to have access to information that states how your privacy is or is not protected by the various services of this site.

Privacy for Members with Profile Pages:

When you become a CharityMaker.com member, we will collect and store the information you provide in the sign up process, including personally identifiable information such as your name, street address and e-mail address. The information you provide us on your "profile" information for public display is openly seen to anyone who accesses the CharityMaker.com web site and your profile page but we do not give out that information to third party solicitors. You also supply us with private information such as a user name and password and other elements of your "account" information. This is not publicly accessible. An email is sent to the registered address in your account information upon completion of sign up or account changes and that is the only method for which CharityMaker LLC will transmit "account" information as a general practice. Phone or written correspondence may be deemed necessary in rare occassions where the member can accurately identify account holder information as verification. However, keep in mind that we do not maintain any information of a financial nature other than dollar amounts which were sent to members by check.

Profile and account information may be made available to affiliates of CharityMaker LLC (i.e. any parent or subsidiary entities, or its agents, such as independent auditors, consultants or attorneys) for internal business purposes. Your information may be disclosed if, in CharityMaker LLC's reasonable judgment, such disclosure is necessary to comply with law or government agency requests. Please note that Personally Identifiable Information does not include information that is collected anonymously (without identification of the individual user) or demographic information not connected to an identified member.

Privacy for Visitors:

A Visitor constitutes an individual or group that accesses the CharityMaker.com web site for searching charities, viewing profiles and browsing and visiting affiliate stores listed on Member profile pages. There is no log-in or registration sign-up for Visitors. We do not collect any personal information of anyone visiting CharityMaker.com unless that information was transmitted to us by email, fax, phone or letter in a voluntary correspondence. That information would then fall under the same privacy policy as Member privacy stated above. When on a Member profile page we do not collect information with regards to any electronic internet contact to or from the member profile site. Any Member or Visitor clicking to an affiliate "store" site listed on member profile pages is then under the terms and privacy poilicies of that site. CharityMaker LLC does not receive any personal identifiable information from that store and all transactions and services of and related to that transaction are managed by that site. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policies of each site you visit. CharityMaker LLC is not responsible or held accountable for any issues, grievances or litigation Members or Visitors may have with affilaite sites on the CharityMaker.com web site and member profile pages.

Other Information:

CharityMaker LLC may receive information from store affiliates and their tracking services regarding generalized viewing and spending data. CharityMaker LLC may discloses to third parties non-personally identifiable information that CharityMaker LLC has obtained about your online behavior in the aggregate for advertising and marketing purposes and to service providers to enable them to improve services. ChariyMaker LLC does not provide information regarding individual Visitors or Members, but only aggregated data. Where it is necessary to settle an issue concerning payment to members, CharityMaker LLC may disclose to participating stores information you have provided, or information that CharityMaker LLC has obtained about your CharityMaker.com account or shopping behavior.'

Further, CharityMaker LLC may receive account information from participating stores including, but not limited to, information regarding purchases made, products ordered, order quantity, as well as the time and date the purchase occurred. You agree to hold participating stores harmless for any information disclosed to CharityMaker LLC

Changes to Policy:

CharityMaker LLC reserves the right to make periodic changes in this privacy policy. The effective date of the current version of our policy is indicated at the top of this page. Please check back from time to time to ensure that you are aware of any updates or changes in this policy. Your continued use of the site and the services indicates acceptance of this privacy policy. In the event that CharityMaker LLC is acquired by another company by merger or acquisition, use of your information is subject to the privacy policy in effect at the time of the transaction until the acquiring company changes the policy.

Outside Security Concerns:

In rare cases, electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering and break-ins and it cannot be guaranteed or warranted that such events will not take place and we will not be liable to Visitors or Members for any such occurrences.
