They can search for you on our homepage or you can give them the direct URL (web address) of your profile. When they click on a store to browse or shop, that retailers web site opens up and they can shop on their site as they normally would. But now that the retailers know they were accessed through your charity profile page they will pay CharityMaker an affiliate rebate (like a finders fee) for every purchase. The rebate percentages are posted next to the stores name in your mall. So if a member buys a $100 DVD player through your mall and the store's rebate is 10%, that store sends CharityMaker $10- and we give the large majority (70%) $7 into your CharityMaker account and four times a year we send you a check totaling all the current money your shopping members have accumulated for you. If you have a large membership that can add up fast even if only 20% of you membership uses the service. And for small fundraising groups that still can bring in an extra few hundred dollars annualy.

And these retailers will rebate money back to CharityMaker for every purchase you make and we place 70% of that rebate money into your charity's account. Little by little as you and other supporters shop that account can grow to thousands of dollars and your charity simply requests a check from us for the funds you helped accumulate- it's that simple, that easy, and completely free with no obligation.

All purchases are done independently through the stores shop- but they can track that you accessed them through your charity's mall and that's how they know an affiliate rebate is due.
